Three Plus and Cleanaway conceived of an annual event to celebrate recipients of the company’s annual New Chum Landfill Community Benefit Fund. The event enables welfare, sport, youth and other groups to highlight their achievements. The event demonstrates Cleanaway’s commitment to the community and provides an opportunity for Cleanaway managers to meet residents and representatives. Three Plus plans and manages the events to ensure the contributions of community groups and Cleanaway are understood by the broader community through media coverage and photography and video on social media.

Achievements
  • Coordinated media strategy secured local coverage that amplified Cleanaway’s community engagement, including 4BC Radio and Ipswich News Today and social media.
  • Relationships are strengthened, supporting Cleanaway’s role in providing the essential service of managing construction and demolition waste.

Over the past two years, Cleanaway’s New Chum Landfill Community Benefit Fund has distributed more than $100,000 among 16 deserving Ipswich community organisations.

Process
  • Arrange attendance by key community stakeholders, senior Cleanaway representatives, elected officials, local media and community members.

Cleanaway’s annual Community Benefit Fund events help demonstrate their commitment to local communities.

“Cleanaway has been part of Ipswich for more than 25 years. Each year we give back through grants and an event celebrating volunteer groups. Three Plus makes sure all the right people are at these important events, that everyone feels welcome, the events run smoothly and the broader community knows all about it.”
