The year of 2009 presented challenges for many people and organisations. For many companies it was a “back to basics” year with a concentration on staying lean, nimble and in a market sensitive posture.
As business leaders, what we make of both change and challenge is up to us. If you consider the humble SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analysis, its value lies in taking a 360 degree view of our business environment and proactively working to enhance our strengths, maximise our opportunities, address our weaknesses and disable our threats. However, it often takes more than a matrix and a few academic exercises to get inspiration flowing when you are feeling a little battle weary. Successful strategy comes down to implementation.
So we decided to start 2010 with you by taking a look at some of the events set for 2010 – from politics, business and technology to sports, entertainment and culture. It’s an eclectic, and by no means exhaustive, list. These events may give you a creative idea for an internal communications campaign, sponsorship activities or a media opportunity.
From the team at Three Plus, we hope 2010 is a year of rebuilding, refreshing and re-energising.
